We write about widowhood as we live it. Together we examine the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of life as a widowed person. The views expressed here are those held by each individual author. We take no credit for their brillance; we just provide them with a forum for expressing their widowed journey in words that are uniquely their own.

hindu temple
today you went to
your first muslim mosque
(just realized i didn’t take any photos of that)
as well as your
first hindu temple.
you met a ton
of very friendly
people and learned a
little bit about
cultures other
than your own.
don’t worry…
i don’t expect you
to remember everything
you learned today.
we’ll come back
here a lot
as you get older,
and over the years
you’ll learn it all.
i’m pretty sure
you’re gonna be smarter
by age 10 than
i am at 31
(almost 32).
and for that,
i will be most
proud of you.
